Job summary

Kerry Group's Manitowoc facility in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Lab Technician to support finished product testing and compliance with customer specs. You will rotate across testing stations, use analytical chemistry methods, and document results in SAP, contributing to batch release decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• Food or manufacturing laboratory experience is a plus.
• Experience with analytical testing and standard lab practices.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.
• Comfortable using laboratory equipment and interpreting test results.

What You'll Do:

As a Quality Lab Technician, you’ll help ensure finished products meet quality and customer specifications before they are packaged and shipped. Working as part of a collaborative lab team, you’ll rotate through testing stations and build experience across a variety of laboratory equipment and testing methods.

• Test finished products using analytical chemistry and food science methods.
• Operate laboratory equipment and evaluate results against product specifications.
• Make hold or release decisions based on test results before products move to packaging and shipment.
• Accurately enter test results and quality data into SAP.
• Rotate through testing stations and cross-train on laboratory equipment and methods.
• Maintain accurate lab records and follow established testing and quality procedures.
• Partner with the Quality team to ensure testing is completed accurately and on time.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field preferred; relevant laboratory experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Food or manufacturing laboratory experience is a plus.
• Experience working in alaboratory environment, including analytical testing and standard lab practices.
• Comfortable usinglaboratory equipment and interpreting test results.
• Strong attention to detail with accuratedata entry and documentation skills.
• Ability to learn multiple testing methods andcross-train across lab stations.
• Comfortable usingSAP or similar computer systems for recording test results.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer:

The hiring range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Shift/Work Hours: 7:00AM - 3:00PM, Monday -Friday, with Overtime as Needed, typically 1 Weekend per Month.
