Job summary

Actalent in Lubbock, TX is seeking Laboratory Technicians for Seed Quality Testing on a contract basis with potential for long-term employment. The role pays $17/hr and starts August 2026.

You will perform seed sample inspections, basic lab tests (pH, moisture, protein assays, titrations), germination and purity testing, and careful documentation in a hands-on agricultural laboratory environment.

Regular hours are Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with possible overtime during peak season.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Plant Science, Natural Science, or related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Passport or Birth Certificate required for onboarding.

What You'll Do

Schedule
  • Regular Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
  • Peak Season (Nov-Jan): Must be open to 1st or 2nd shift, overtime, and weekend work
  • Up to 50 hours/week during busy seasons

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
