Responsibilities

  • Execute and adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements, maintain a safe work environment, and follow all internal safety rules and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Lead and live Safety as a Value.
  • Participate in general housekeeping activities throughout the plant and laboratory areas.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and established quality standards.
  • Perform timely and accurate chemical, physical, and visual testing of raw materials, bulk batches, and finished goods using established test procedures.
  • Determine appropriate raw material adjustments to bulk batches to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Enter raw material, bulk batch, and finished goods testing results accurately into SAP.
  • Perform timely Usage Decisions, including acceptance or rejection of raw materials, bulk batches, and finished goods within SAP.
  • Collect, identify, and properly store retain samples of raw materials, bulk batches, and finished products as required.
  • Take immediate action on internal non-conformances by creating notifications in SAP and conducting initial investigations with Production Operators.
  • Support customer complaint investigations by reviewing applicable batch records and retain samples.
  • Maintain critical laboratory equipment and inventory levels to ensure continuous and uninterrupted Quality Control support.
  • Review the daily production schedule and ensure testing equipment and reagents are properly prepared to efficiently support all scheduled batches.
  • Provide appropriate documentation and visual Quality Control labels identifying materials and products as Acceptable, Rejected, or On Hold.
  • Complete, maintain, and process all required Quality Control documentation, paperwork, and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Attend daily Tier 1 meetings at the beginning and end of the assigned shift.
  • Participate in monthly meetings related to Quality, Safety, Housekeeping, and waste minimization.
  • Communicate critical issues involving Quality Control testing equipment, product quality, and potential testing delays to management in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate a strong team-oriented approach by proactively supporting team members and other areas as needed to accomplish business objectives and expand job-related skills.

Quality Control Technician

Schedule: 12-hr Shifts: Day Shift (6am-6:30pm) 2-2-3 Schedule (Includes every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday)

Pay: $26.00 per hour and up based on experience + $2.00 Shift Differential for off hours worked

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing accurate and timely testing of raw materials, bulk batches, and finished goods while ensuring compliance with H.B. Fuller quality, safety, and operational standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant experience in Quality Control, laboratory testing, or technical support.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or Quality Control laboratory environment.
  • Associate degree, junior college diploma, or higher education in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience utilizing SAP for quality testing results, Usage Decisions, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Experience performing chemical, physical, and visual testing of raw materials and finished products.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $26.00 per hour and up based on experience + $2.00 Shift Differential for off hours worked.
