Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain quality control processes, test products, and analyze results to ensure our coatings meet specifications. You will test production batches, identify issues with in-spec and out-of-spec data, and advise on adjustments to batches as needed.

The role involves entering batch data into the electronic batch records system, generating paperwork per customer specifications, and supporting ISO and Safety Systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience in quality control laboratory is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility is preferred.
• Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tests are completed and results meet all specifications before going to the next production process
• Enter all batch data into the electronic batch records system
• Generate appropriate paperwork as needed per customer specifications
• Gather and send customer samples as required
• Utilize appropriate computer systems to ensure effective testing of products
• Determine disposition of non-conforming finished goods
• Place non-conforming material on hold as needed
• Support the ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies
• Identify and communicate product issues to other departments as needed
• Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for Quality Department to meet ISO requirements
• Assist in training of other lab technicians as needed
