At the Quality Lab Supervisor you will be leading the Quality Control Laboratory team and Internal Audit program to ensure efficient, effective, and timely testing and inspection of outgoing products, while continuously improving quality systems compliance and audit readiness. A strong, structured leader with the ability to manage diverse personalities, resolve conflicts, and maintain clear communication is essential for success.

It plays a key role in delivering products across industries like automotive, healthcare, and consumer goods, while actively engaging with the local community to foster workforce development.
Description
Commitment to Safety
Adhere to safety protocols and encourage others to prioritize safety.
Report safety incidents and near-misses, leading investigations in collaboration with EHS.
Quality Control
Supervise daily testing and inspection in the Quality Control Laboratories, managing job assignments and lab priorities.
Oversee laboratory standards processing and manage the development of QC Technicians, promoting cross-training and teamwork.
Drive process improvements to enhance lab efficiency, flexibility, timeliness, and throughput.
Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Simplify and organize QC laboratory documentation and manage the transition to global tools and applications.
Collaborate with Quality and Process Engineers to address QC failure trends and lead improvement projects.
Manage the site's Internal Audit Program, including scheduling, performing audits, and ensuring audit readiness.
Conduct "special audits" for problem investigations or external audit preparation.
Provide QC and Audit feedback to Operations, Engineering, and Site Leadership to support continuous improvement.
Oversee timely implementation of the site's Quality Calibration program.
Generate relevant reports and summaries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Profile
Strong background in Quality Control and Assurance
Proven leadership in supervisory roles, preferably in manufacturing
Effective communicator and collaborator across teams
Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and team development
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experienced in metrics reporting and data analysis
Knowledgeable in Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies
Familiar with ISO and other quality system standards
Comfortable working closely with Manufacturing and Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with electronic Quality Data systems and ERP tools (e.g., Oracle)
Familiar with metrology equipment and tools
Proficient in technical documentation (specs, drawings, reports, standards)
Knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Background in Military, Automotive, or Medical sectors
Understanding of workplace organization (5S)
Lean/Six Sigma training or certification
Project management and formal leadership development
Proficiency in MS Access and Minitab
