Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Quality Lab Supervisor to lead lab technicians and oversee daily Quality Lab operations, including supervision of testing and release decisions. The role emphasizes coaching, training, and maintaining lab standards within ISO guidelines.

You will coordinate with shift supervisors, manage workloads, ensure calibration, and preserve lab organization. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and rubber industry experience, with a focus on safety and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary technical training completed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Experience in rubber industry preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Quality associates to ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee lab operations including milling, rheometer, physical testing, curing.
• Train new technicians and provide guidance.
• Maintain lab equipment calibrations and ISO audit readiness.
• Make final release decisions on quality issues.
• Ensure proper shipping paperwork and shift handovers.
• Attend daily production meetings at 8:30 am.
• Manage workload and coordinate with shift supervisors.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Other duties as assigned.
