Titan America’s Roanoke Cement Plant in Troutville, VA, is seeking a Quality Control Lab Intern to assist the Quality Department with cement and raw material testing to ASTM standards. The role reports to the Quality Manager and offers hands-on exposure to laboratory operations.

Key duties include data analysis, daily testing, and assistance with SPC-related projects and equipment maintenance. Ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates in chemical engineering or materials science

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing or holding a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with policies and MSHA requirements.
• Perform chemical and physical testing in accordance with ASTM standards.
• Assist Process Control Technicians with daily assignments.
• Test water samples as required by the Virginia DEQ permit.
• Collect material samples required for quality control testing.
• Analyze test data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Test specialty masonry products during production for color consistency.
• Inspect laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance.
