Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory/Audit Coordinator to manage weekly inventory counts, spot audits, and quality audits. The role requires coordinating with Warehouse Supervisors to allocate personnel and resources, leading audit teams, and documenting results in Excel.

Eligible candidates will have strong communication skills, extensive audit experience, and a solid understanding of inventory quality control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Coordinates inventory count and audits with Warehouse Supervisors daily to allocate resources.
  • Directs audit teams and provides daily written and electronic analysis of results.
  • Performs spot audits including unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping; records results in Excel.
  • Interacts with supervisors to identify trends requiring corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to emails promptly; performs other duties as assigned.

Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.

  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily – so that supervisors can assign necessary product, equipment, and human resources needed to complete schedule.

  • Directs and leads the work of any personnel assigned to the quality audits and/or inventory counts by the Warehouse Supervisors Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.

  • Spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.

  • Interacts with supervisors and leads to identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.

  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion.

  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time

  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance

  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand

  • Regular attendance and punctuality as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location is required

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have excellent audit skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Must have the ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment

  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications

  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.

  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • 6 or more years of related work experience.

  • 6 or more years of industry related experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas
