Job summary

The Oshkosh Corporation Vocational segment invites a Quality Intern to support our quality processes across supplier base, testing, manufacturing, warehousing, and service. You will partner with Quality staff to uphold product quality and exceed expectations.

The internship runs Summer 2026 in Murfreesboro, TN, requiring travel/relocation as needed. Pursuing a Bachelor's in Quality, Engineering, or related field, you’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to our continuous improvement

The Vocational segment includes market leading brands McNeilus, Oshkosh S-Series, IMT, Pierce, MAXIMETAL, Oshkosh Airport Products, and Frontline Communications. Our purpose-built products serve our communities with carefully designed and engineered refuse trucks, front-discharge mixer trucks, fire apparatus, Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting trucks, service vehicles, and command trucks. SUMMARY

The Quality Intern job includes overall process and product quality responsibility. This may include our supplier base, test, manufacturing, sales floor, control test, exercising, pre-ship, deprocessing, customer fielding and service/warranty. Everyone is responsible for the level of quality, exceeding customer expectations, of the product. Quality interns work with Quality department staff while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to beall-inclusiveand other duties may be assigned: Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with all customers. Responsible for supporting Quality Department Staff. Review and update quality documentation. Actively participate in group and team meetings. Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent quality issues. Assist in problem solving and implementing solutions to quality related problems. Assist staff with the disposition of defective material. Participate in quality audits internally and externally. Assist in supplier quality and process control. Report and respond to quality process nonconformance issues in an expedient manner. Work inter-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues. Must exhibit the ability to proactively complete assigned tasks. Travel as required. Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as required. Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations Management/Business Administration, or a related field for entire duration of internship. Willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for the Summer of 2026 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Murfreesboro, TN)

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

GPA of 3.0 or greater Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
