Job summary

Responsibilities

• Quality System Support across manufacturing operations.
• Inspection & Verification activities: product inspections, audits, testing, and documentation reviews.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: analyze quality performance metrics and support CAPA initiatives.
• Root Cause Investigations: assist in customer complaints, process deviations, and non-conformances.
• Continuous Improvement Projects: support initiatives strengthening food safety and compliance.

Internship Details:

• Duration: 10 weeks (Summer 2027)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; Approximately 8 hours per day/40 hours per week
• Pay: $19.00/hour
• Benefits: This role is not eligible for benefits

About the Role:

As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Quality System Support: Assist the Quality team in maintaining food safety and quality standards across manufacturing operations.
• Inspection & Verification Activities: Participate in product inspections, audits, testing activities, and documentation reviews.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality performance metrics and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.
• Root Cause Investigations: Assist in investigating customer complaints, process deviations, and non-conformances.
• Continuous Improvement Projects: Support projects focused on strengthening food safety, quality systems, and operational compliance.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments.

• Frequent exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving machinery, forklifts, and other industrial conditions.
• Must follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as necessary.
• Must be able to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work around equipment during project activities.
• Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Periodic travel may be required to other MSI Express locations and end-of-internship events.
