Job summary

Snelling Staffing DFW is seeking a Quality Inspector/Technician in Lugoff, SC. This onsite role pays $22/hr with weekly overtime and a 6:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, Monday–Friday, plus rotating Saturdays.

You’ll verify parts against prints, read blueprints, and partner with production to fix quality issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Must be proficient with calipers/micrometers and MS Office; prior FAI/NCR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting parts in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and customer drawings for dimensions and tolerances.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Capable of working independently to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts at start, during, and before shipment.
• Measure parts to specs using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Read blueprints and drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Complete FAIs and reports on time for customers.
• Inspect incoming materials and non-conforming parts; document findings.
• Collaborate with operators to resolve quality issues on the floor.
• Assist with corrective actions and supplier-related concerns.
• Maintain inspection records and reports in Excel/Word.

Quality Inspector / Technician

Lugoff, SC | Direct Hire | Onsite

Pay: $22/hr, will pay more depending on experience, plus weekly overtime

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Fridays are guaranteed overtime), plus some Saturdays on a rotating schedule

About the Opportunity

We're working with an established metal manufacturer in the Lugoff area that's looking to add a Quality Inspector / Technician to their team. This person will be the eyes on the floor for quality, making sure every part matches the customer's print before it ships and working with production to fix problems when they come up. If you've inspected metal parts before and like having ownership over your work, this is a great fit. With guaranteed overtime every Friday, there's real earning potential here.

What You'll Be Doing

• \- Inspecting parts at the start of a run, during production, and before they ship


• \- Measuring parts with calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to confirm they meet print specs


• \- Reading customer blueprints and drawings to check dimensions and tolerances


• \- Completing first article inspections (FAIs) and reports on time for customers


• \- Inspecting incoming material and parts from suppliers


• \- Tagging, documenting, and tracking non-conforming parts


• \- Working with operators and production leads to solve quality issues as they happen


• \- Helping with corrective actions, customer concerns, and supplier issues


• \- Keeping inspection records and reports updated in Excel and Word

What We're Looking For

• \- Quality experience in sheet metal, metal fabrication, steel, stamping, or welding environments


• \- Experience with non-conformance reports (NCRs) or material review (MRB)


• \- Weld inspection experience or certifications like CWI
