Job Description

We are currently looking for qualified Quality Inspectors to join our team.



Schedule is full-time, Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 4:00pm or 6:00am-4:30pm. This position is eligible for quarterly production bonuses.




Radiant Power Corp. delivers the highest levels of quality and reliability from our full range of aerospace products. We provide a wide variety of emergency power supplies, power distribution and control sub-systems, flight deck sensors and instruments, a full suite of passenger comfort/cabin products, AeroELT Emergency Locator Transmitters and our Dukane-Seacom Underwater Locator Beacons.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Requirements

Inspects parts, assemblies and finished products to drawings and specifications.



GENERAL DUTIES:



  • Performs a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical inspections on parts and assemblies.

  • Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a variety of components and assemblies.

  • Interprets drawings and schematic diagrams to perform inspections.

  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.

  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:



  • One year certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent amount of prior experience.

  • Six to twelve months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment

  • Previous use of inspection tools - calipers, gage pins

  • Preference given to aerospace and defense electronics experience



  • Certified IPC-A-610D Class 3 Criteria and/or J-STD-001D solderer (expired certification is okay) desired.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports.

  • Read/Write Fluently in English

  • Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment

  • MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, Access, and MSWord.

  • Sustained dependable attendance.

  • Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.

  • Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.
