Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Quality Inspector Receiving Inspections II at our Briggs, TX facility north of Cedar Park. You’ll verify deliveries against orders, keep accurate records and help ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting items, documenting discrepancies, and supporting Engineering, Quality, and Procurement while upholding AS9100/AS9102 standards and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills for counting and measurements.
• Ability to operate software and perform data entry accurately.
• Physical stamina to perform routine duties and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and crouch/bend/reach as needed.
• Good personal and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a structured and automated receiving environment or warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all incoming deliveries for quantity accuracy and damage.
• Verify part numbers and supporting documentation against procurement data.
• Identify inaccurate orders and refuse items with proper rationale.
• Record items received and route inventory to appropriate location.
• Document shortages and backordered items and notify stakeholders.
• Coordinate with recipients to ensure correct delivery signals.
• Flag orders missing required quality documentation per AS9100/AS9102.
• Maintain material test reports and QA records for inventory.
• Support Engineering with timely receipt tracking and data.
• Assist Quality Manager with recordkeeping, nonconformances and audits.
• Prepare outgoing shipments with correct packaging, addresses, packing lists and Hazmat signage.
• Assist Procurement with records and returns.
• Follow safety regulations and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties to maintain an efficient work environment.

SUMMARY

We are looking for high energy individual with exceptional attention to detail. The Receiving Inspector position provides critical support for operations, maintenance, IT and systems. Come be part of something special. This position is located at our rocket production facility north of Cedar Park, in Briggs, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors and inspects all incoming deliveries for order accuracy, major defects, or damage during shipping
• Compares quantity, part numbers, and supporting documentation of items received with procurement data to ensure completeness and accuracy of order
• Notes inaccurate or unacceptable orders received and refuses to accept these items from delivery service
• Records received items and routes inventoried parts to the inventory cage
• Records shortages and backordered items notifying affected parties
• Signals delivery to Recipient listed on order
• Maintains awareness of deliveries that require Quality Documentation flagging all orders that do not include the necessary documents as per AS9100/AS9102 requirements.
• Maintains material test reports (MTRs) and externally provided quality inspection records for inventory
• Supports Engineering by tracking accurate, timely receipt of orders
• Supports the Quality Manager with recordkeeping, nonconformances, corrective actions and audit support
• Prepares outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging, address information, packing list, Hazmat signage, and item accuracy
• Supports Procurement with recordkeeping and returns
• Follows safety regulations, including wearing proper safety clothing and gear at all times
• Performs other duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
