Job summary

Pop-Up Talent in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Quality Technician to perform QA/QC, incoming and final inspections, and documentation. The role supports MRB, NCMR, and RMA processes in a medical device manufacturing environment.

We offer a competitive pay range of $22–$27 per hour, plus benefits including health insurance, 401k, and paid holidays. Two years of quality experience and GD&T knowledge are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• A two-year college degree or trade school education is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
• At least two years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
• Strong computer skills; MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA and QC activities including incoming and final inspections.
• Document inspection results and release material for MRB/NCMR/RMA processes.
• Support quality assurance evaluations (QAE) and quality improvements.
• Maintain compliance with QA procedures and records.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, surface plates and comparators for measurements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve non-conformances.
• Assist in maintaining device quality in a regulated environment.

Hiring a Quality Inspector to perform QA, QC, Incoming Inspection, and Final Inspection activities.

Pay Range

SUMMARY

Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including but not limited to:

• Incoming Inspections
• Testing
• Documentation
• Final Release
• Validation
• Quality Assurance Evaluation (QAE) activities
• Serve as a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE)
• MRB
• NCMR (Non-Conforming Material Reports)
• RMA (Return Merchandise Authorizations)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• A two-year college degree or trade school education is a plus but not required
• GD&T Certification is a plus
• ASQ Certification is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints
• At least two years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) preferred
• Must have strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
• Experience with ERP systems required; experience with Epicor beneficial
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, surface plates, drop indicators, and comparators
• CMM and machine shop experience is a plus
• Experience with medical devices is a plus
