Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards. The role requires using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other tools to verify part dimensions against blueprint specifications.

You will complete data sheets and SPC charts, perform various inspections, and ensure conformance to Hydro Extrusion standards. A 2-year technical degree or equivalent and blueprint-reading skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree or equivalent.
• 2-5 years experience in Quality Assurance preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Blueprint-reading course required.
• Must interpret drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Must evaluate processes using surface plate and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Hydro Extrusion engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Accurately use inspection tools to check dimensions to blueprint specifications.
• Complete forms and file documentation per Quality Manual.
• Perform receiving inspection, gauge calibration, first piece layouts, and extrusion inspection.
• Randomly check parts at machines and halt production if quality fails.
• Repeat interpretation of drawings and standards for verification.
