Job description

We’re hiring for a Quality PCBA Inspector position in So Cal. The schedule is on first shift, 20 - 30 hours, 2-4 days per week on an as-needed basis. If you have a passion for mechanical products and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!


Key Responsibilities
  • You will be conducting visual PCBA inspections and paperwork verification at our client's supplier(s)
  • Ensure PCBA products meet quality and specification standards, verifying proper component placement, solder joints, and other assembly specifications
  • Inspect soldering, component orientation, and component placement for accuracy, as per design and IPC-A-610 standards
  • Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
  • Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
  • Interpret PCBA manufacturing drawings, circuit board layouts, and identify non-conformances
  • Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
  • Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized and compliant with safety regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PCBA assembly methods and processes
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a PCBA Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
  • Ability to read PCB assembly schematics, and circuit diagrams, and identify electronic components
  • Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-610
  • Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
  • Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing practices
  • 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a PCBA Inspector

$30 - $32 an hour
.70 cents per mile driven
