Job summary

Amcor in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Operator to follow strict safety procedures, verify production quality, and maintain accurate documentation on the shop floor. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to operate within a fast-paced packaging environment on-site.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, recording data, supporting lean initiatives, and assisting with machine startups and line clearances.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills (written & oral).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to the Shift Supervisor.
• Perform production verifications at the start of an order and each shift.
• Conduct required visual inspections and notify defects.
• Utilize data acquisition software to determine gauging needs for quality.
• Keep accurate documentation in the data acquisition software.
• Inspect parts on conveyors and perform liner inspections as required.
• Periodically check glue tank level to ensure supply for the machine.
• Package and handle production per manufacturing specifications.
• Record scrap and dispose of it properly.
• Assist in machine startups, shutdowns and line clearances.
• Maintain a clean workstation and follow housekeeping practices.
• Participate in Lean and Safety programs.
• Follow Food Safety and cGMP policies.
• Assist in training fellow associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
