Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Quality Inspector for the 1st shift in Grand Rapids, MI to perform detailed quality checks on manufactured parts, pack approved products, and prepare them for shipment in a seated role.

The team is small and process-driven, with a 6:30 am–2:30 pm schedule Monday–Friday. The position emphasizes accurate weighing, labeling, and safe packing to ensure products meet standards before delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of quality checks or inspections in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 1 year of experience in packing or packaging operations.
• Ability to perform consistent visual checks for defects.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while inspecting and packing.
• Follow established quality procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual quality inspections on bins of parts to meet specifications.
• Identify nonconforming or defective parts per quality procedures.
• Pack inspected parts into boxes in a safe, organized manner.
• Weigh materials and packed boxes to verify quantity and shipping compliance.
• Label boxes with required information for traceability and shipping.
• Place labeled boxes into containers for final shipment.
• Collaborate with two other inspectors to maintain consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe operations.
• Follow all safety guidelines and quality procedures throughout.
