Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Inspector to join our Ardmore Ave facility in Fort Wayne, IN. The role runs Monday through Friday with no weekends, starting at $22.79 per hour and advancing to $26.81 per hour within about six months; includes a $1.50 shift premium and weekly pay.

You will inspect materials across multiple stages, evaluate quality against specs, and identify causes of quality issues while proposing corrective actions. PTO/holiday pay start day one.

Qualifications

• 2 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Intermediate math, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate incoming raw material, in process material, finished material, and determine its suitability for use in Fort Wayne Metals products.
• Monitor and assess the wire quality to ensure it meets Fort Wayne Metals standards and customer specifications.
• Responsible for coverage of multiple inspection areas within the business segment.
• Provide insight regarding the cause of insufficient wire quality and devise proposals to eliminate them.
• Verifies certification of processes and material on incoming products as required by Fort Wayne Metals specification and procedures.
