Job description

Quality Inspector (Night Shift) - $20.00/hr

Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector (Night Shift) based in Tampa, FL. Reporting to the Quality Lead, the inspector will monitor operations and processes to ensure products meet standards by maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, overseeing processes, and identifying defects in goods and materials. Suggestions for improving machine efficiency and accuracy are also valued.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system environments is a plus. Bilingual skills are also advantageous.

What you'll do:

1. Perform in-process audits to ensure process and product compliance with standards.
2. Conduct tests such as dimensional, impact, burst, and crush tests.
3. Ensure equipment calibration and daily plausibility tests are completed and documented.
4. Maintain records of analyses, test results, and quality documentation.
5. Lead training for new hires and production clerks in quality procedures.
6. Support troubleshooting on production lines.
7. Manage sample requests and returns.
8. Support material trials.
9. Communicate issues to Production and QA teams.
10. Perform application testing based on functional requirements.
11. Organize testing metrics and support bug tracking.
12. Coordinate QA activities for release cycles.
13. Maintain test plans and test cases to meet objectives.
14. Ensure proper maintenance of QA test environments.
15. Perform incoming inspections, first-piece approvals, and layered audits.
16. Assist with test automation efforts.
17. Perform QA inspections in the PAD Reject process.

What you'll bring:

1. 1-3 years of relevant experience in QA and manufacturing environments.
2. Proficiency with precision measuring devices like calipers and micrometers.
3. Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
