Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector in Newark, DE to ensure conformance of DH panels, MMC castings, and precision machined parts through meticulous inspection and data collection.

You will generate inspection documentation and support shipments with Certificates of Conformance. Preferred candidates have an Associate’s degree with exposure to Zeiss Calypso/PowerInspect/PCDMIS, and ASQ certifications.

Qualifications

Able to read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings.
Proficient with CMMs, calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges.
Knowledge of basic metrology concepts.
Capable of performing fundamental arithmetic and converting decimals/fractions.
Proficient in English reading and writing.
Experience using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
GD&T knowledge preferred.
Attention to detail and accuracy; able to work with minimal supervision.
Teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Inspect products using gages, calipers, micrometers, CMMs and other measuring tools to ensure conformance.
Generate inspection sheets and data collection spreadsheets.
Maintain accurate inspection records and document data in databases.
Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipment readiness.
Calibrate hand tools and ensure measurement accuracy; replace worn tools.
Prepare inspection reports/Certificates of Conformance for customers.
