Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services is seeking a quality inspection position in Indiana. The role involves inspecting raw materials and parts, auditing production practices, and reporting non-conformances. You will work on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery and ensure accurate data entry and documentation.

Candidates should read and write English, perform basic math, and learn to use basic measurement instruments. Safety is a priority, and the position is with a safety-sensitive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Ability to learn correct use of basic measurement instruments (tape measure, scales, gauges).
• Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to accurately inspect basic material, commodities, and/or processes.
• Safety Mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials and products visually, and with gauges, scales, or other measurement instruments.
• Segregate non-conforming parts or material.
• Complete required documentation for work performed.
• Perform data entry of work results into appropriate databases.
• Perform final inspection to reconcile outgoing shipments, as required.
• May be required to identify causes of non-conformance.
• Inspect raw material and/or parts, audit production practices and processes, and report on non-conformances.
• Work directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
