Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a Quality Inspector for a manufacturing team in Milford, CT. The role is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with pay of $22.00–$24.00 per hour and overtime potential.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in quality inspection, proficiency with calipers/micrometers/gauges, and the ability to read technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success on this hands-on role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and quality specifications
  • Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming products
  • Complete inspection records, reports, and other quality documentation
  • Communicate quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor and production team
  • Work with production to help identify and resolve quality issues
  • Assist with corrective actions and root-cause investigations
  • Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement activities
  • Support 5S and Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Help maintain inspection equipment and ensure measuring tools are properly maintained
  • Assist with training and cross-training other Quality Inspectors as needed
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Quality Inspector – Manufacturing

1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | $22–$24/Hour | Overtime Available

Are you detail-oriented and take pride in making sure things are done right? We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a busy manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on position where you will inspect incoming materials, work-in-process components, and finished products to make sure they meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, is comfortable using precision measuring tools, and understands how important accuracy and attention to detail are.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products

What We're Looking For
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar inspection equipment

  • Ability to identify defects and recognize when a product does not meet specifications

Schedule & Pay

Monday – Friday
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$22.00 – $24.00 per hour
Overtime is likely and may be available based on production needs

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the manufacturing floor
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
