Job summary

Summit Employment Professionals seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts and assemblies. You will read and interpret Catia models, drawings, and parts lists, ensuring conformance to drawings, standards, and procedures.

The role requires 3+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, plus FAI experience per AS9102. Overtime and shift work flexibility are needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies
  • 1+ years’ experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, general procedures, OEM specifications and government regulations
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
  • Detail oriented, team player, and very organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent comprehension of machining process
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible schedule to work overtime and shift work as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies
  • Inspect parts to engineering drawings, industry standards, and specifications
  • Read and interpret models (Catia), drawings, and parts lists
  • Apply attention to detail to drawings, production processes, work orders, etc.
  • Verify completion of quality documents and accurate representation of product flow throughout the process
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, height gauge, and dial indicators
  • Process NCR for parts returned by customers for non-conformances
  • Process NCR for orders noting any discrepancies identified

Shifts Available:

1st shift: Mon-Thurs; 5am-5:30pm (1 opening)

2nd shift: Mon-Thurs; 5pm - 5:30am w/ $0.75 shift differential (1 opening)
