Job summary

Atlas Tool Works in Lyons, IL is seeking a qualified Metrology/Quality Technician to join our high-precision manufacturing team.

You will apply blueprint and GD&T knowledge, operate CMMs (Zeiss Calypso, Renishaw Modus), and use FARO arms to inspect parts against drawings. Strong math, software skills, and clear communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of blueprints and GD&T.
• CMM programming experience with Zeiss Calypso or Renishaw Modus preferred.
• FARO arm experience.
• Manual gage knowledge including calipers, micrometers, profilometers, thread and drop gages.
• ERP systems knowledge.
• Word, Excel and Outlook experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and dexterity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Blueprints and GD&T

CMM Programming Experience (Zeiss CMM with Calypso, Renishaw with Modus experience preferred)

FARO arm experience

Manual Gage knowledge and skill; including calipers, micrometers, profilometers, thread gages, drop gages

Knowledge of ERP systems

Math and Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook experience preferred)

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
