Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Inspector Level 2 in Brownsville, TX to support the 2nd shift on a 3-month contract with full-time hours. The role focuses on detailed inspections of components, assemblies, and raw materials to verify conformance to drawings and specs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on inspection experience, reads engineering drawings, and is skilled with borescopes and GD&T. ITAR compliance and a willingness to undergo a background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such as borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.

We’re hiring for a Quality Inspector Level 2 position in Brownsville, TX. This is an opportunity in which you will be supporting the 2nd shift, 3- month contract at full time hours. Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.
