Job summary

Paycom in El Paso, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure parts meet drawings and specs throughout production. You will interpret technical drawings, use gauges, and support lean initiatives.

This role requires reading calipers and micrometers, basic geometry, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or GED is required. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and pass vision tests is needed. On-site with standard shift.

Qualifications

• Understand organizational flow and inspection procedures.
• Work well with a team.
• Interpret standard and metric drawings.
• Understand 1st and 3rd angle projection.
• Read calipers, micrometers, tape measures and other gauges.
• Understand gauge calibration.
• Basic geometry and algebra.
• Basic computer skills.
• Solve problems with several concrete variables in standard situations.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and techniques for manufacturing.
• 1+ years of quality experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Understand quality and production within company specs and goals.
• Comply with safety and environmental rules; follow ATI practices.
• Support 6S and lean initiatives.
• Have a basic understanding of an ERP system.
• Interpret technical drawings.
• Inspect parts to meet specifications using gauges throughout production and at completion.
• Complete material certs for shipments.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to improve quality.
