STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH, is searching for a Quality Inspector to join the team. This position involves performing visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components, and finished goods to validate conformance to blueprints and customer instructions, as well as company operating procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

Job Responsibilities

• Measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, threads, wall thickness, and other characteristics as stipulated on the inspection plan.
• Test units for fit of moving parts (e.g., nuts and sleeves).
• Verify gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to calibration intervals.
• Understand engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements.
• Inspect products at specified stages in the production process and test products for qualities such as dimensions, mechanical, electrical, or coatings (visual).
• Identify and report changes to existing quality or production procedures to achieve optimum quality.
• Validate conformance or identify non-conformances and report findings to engineering and management.
• Consistently, regularly, and predictably be at work and on time.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
