Job summary

Saab is seeking a Quality Inspector in Michigan to inspect incoming materials, components and products to ensure adherence to specifications. You will collaborate with Quality, Warehouse and Manufacturing to maintain high quality levels for customers.

Responsibilities include visual and mechanical inspections, documentation of quality records, use of ERP systems, and participation in continuous improvement and audits. A strong eye for detail and solid communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning software programs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.

Job Description

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team! This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components and products to ensure they meet prescribed requirements. You will work closely with the Quality, Warehouse, and Manufacturing teams to maintain a high level of quality for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming materials, components and products using visual, mechanical, and measurement techniques.

  • Verify materials against engineering drawings, specifications, purchase order, and quality requirements.

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.

  • Collect and maintain related quality records.

  • Use of a computer-based ERP system for data entry and inventory management.

  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.

  • Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.

  • Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.

Compensation Range

Commensurate with experience
