OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector III to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in using measuring devices such as CMMs, optical inspection equipment, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and height gages.
- Visual inspection of product according to customer requirements, Specifications and Engineering Drawings
- Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs
- Identify and quarantine all non-conforming product, generate NCRs, clearly summarizing non-conforming condition of products
- Ensure the calibration maintenance is up to date on all inspection equipment.
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repair
- Attend department meetings as required
- Inspect and release products by ensuring proper documentation or certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements. (Visual & Dimensional verification may be required)
- Provide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation and development of manufacturing related documentation and providing proper measuring techniques
- Collaborate as a team member by helping to identify Root Cause, and ultimately leading to corrective actions addressing customer complaints, vendor issues, and internal process failures
- Lead and train Level I and II inspectors as needed to increase performance
- Help identify lean process and project improvements opportunities
- Collaborate, support, and provide Quality guidance towards all levels of the manufacturing process, both internally & externally, and document results as required
- Follow industry and Cadrex safety standards and quality expectations
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 or more years working in an ISO 9000/AS9100 machine shop or fabrication environment
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the internet
- High-level understanding of GD&T, operating CMMs, interpreting & diagnosing CMM results, and metrology techniques.
- High-level experience in using measuring devices such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and height gages.
- Ability to review print requirements, determine the order of operations, determining the areas of risk requiring increased inspection scrutiny
- Experience with MRB dispositioning and reviewing part conformance
EDUCATION
- Degree or 5+ years in a related field is preferred.
- High school diploma.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
