Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector I to support site manufacturing by evaluating processes and ensuring customer quality expectations are met.

You will read blueprints, use calipers and gauges, inspect in-process and finished parts, and document results to maintain compliance with QA standards. The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and on-site collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/inspection in metal fabrication preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to perform measurements with precision.
• Strong math and data interpretation skills.
• Document results and complete reports/logs.
• Present information clearly to teams and customers.
• Proficient with MS Office and email.
• Understand industry safety standards and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gage
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Visual inspection of product according to customer requirements
• Inspect and or test in-process product as well as finished product
• Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs
• Identify and quarantine all non-conforming product
• Generate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant products
• Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repair
• Inspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specifications
• Attend department meetings as required

Cadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector I to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gage
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Visual inspection of product according to customer requirements
• Inspect and or test in-process product as well as finished product
• Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs

Requirements

• Understand industry safety standards and quality expectations
• 1 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection preferred
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs?
• Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the internet

• Associate degree in related field preferred
