Position: Quality Inspector II

Location: Chandler, AZ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform mechanical inspections to ensure all quality standards are met.
  2. Inspect raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts & assemblies.
  3. Conduct First Piece/First Article, receiving/incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  4. Measure complex components, assemblies, and enclosures.
  5. Generate inspection and nonconformance reports as needed.
  6. Check documents for accuracy and compliance.
  7. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related documents to generate detailed inspection reports.
  8. Audit Quality Control processes and programs for compliance.
  9. Support internal and external inspections, including source inspections.
  10. Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality issues.
  11. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  12. Develop inspection techniques and train Level 1 inspectors.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  2. Proficiency with MS Office and database software.
  3. Basic math skills.
  4. Ability to read production instructions, drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
  5. Intermediate understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret and apply it daily.
  6. Experience operating and editing manual CMMs.
  7. Ability to read and interpret specifications, standards, and engineering drawings.
  8. Knowledge of mechanical measurement techniques and secondary processes.
  9. Ability to read weld symbols, call-outs, wiring, and crimping requirements.
  10. Skill in calculating flat patterns and inspecting precision sheet metal.
  11. Proficiency with handheld measurement tools.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some technical coursework or an AA degree preferred.
  • ASQ certification is a plus.
Work Experience:
  • 2-5 years in a production environment, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction) is advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work primarily in manufacturing settings, with physical activities including climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, and exerting force. Visual acuity is required. Personal protective equipment must be worn, and hazards may include electrical, mechanical, and chemical exposures.
