Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. in Augusta, GA is seeking a Quality Inspector II to audit product quality, manage QA data in the TQM system, and support continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will perform rework on vehicles on quality hold to meet engineering specifications, validate Quality Gates and control plans, and help train new inspectors to uphold safety and quality standards across the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) at the Bronze level or higher.
• 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Microsoft Suite, SAP, MES knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit product that is presented to Quality for acceptance for defects pertaining to cosmetics, safety, part presence, and operation.
• Maintain audit check sheets in QA database and ensure data is correct in the Total Quality Management (TQM) software.
• Audit internal processes and work instructions as required.
• Support completion of monthly yard audits.
• Escalate quality issues and non-conforming conditions to the responsible internal parties.
• Assist in investigation and containment when safety and quality issues are found.
• Perform rework to vehicles on quality hold in order to meet engineering specification and follow containment procedure, as required.
• Assist in the validation of Quality Gates and Control plans, as required.
• Facilitate on the job training (OJT) for new inspectors with standardized inspection plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
