Job summary

Woodward is seeking a Quality Inspector2 to oversee CMM inspection and data analysis in an industrial setting. You will read blueprints, operate precision inspection tools, and communicate results to engineers and supervisors.

The role includes mentoring peers and ensuring adherence to inspection procedures. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and requires high attention to detail, strong measurement skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to apply inspection techniques and use inspection tools.
• Ability to read and use micrometers, gauges, comparators and indicators.
• Knowledge of CMM operations including setup and controls.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, routings and manuals to determine specifications and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to train/mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM machine and maintain CMM work instructions for setup and inspection.
• Operate specialized inspection equipment and discuss results with responsible personnel.
• Analyze blueprints and manuals to determine specifications and testing procedures.
• Collect and analyze inspection data; perform first-article inspections.
• Coach or mentor other team members on inspection procedures and tools.
