Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Madison, Alabama seeks a Quality Inspector 2 to inspect and verify parts and assemblies, reading blueprints and specs to ensure conformance. On-site role supporting the Huntsville Manufacturing Center within Combat Systems and Mission readiness, with strong emphasis on data capture and reporting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with related inspection experience, knowledge of AS9102 is a plus, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Experience maintaining inspection documentation and entering data.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with quality.
• US citizenship and DoD Secret clearance eligibility.
• On-site work in Madison, AL is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, verifies and validates parts and assemblies meet requirements.
• Visually and physically inspects installations after rework or repair.
• Monitors product quality per drawings, work instructions, and controls.
• Reads blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Supports AS9102 First Article inspection; generates FAI packages.
• Maintains inspection documentation and enters data into a database.
• Interacts with internal teams and external customers frequently.
• Participates in team activities and provides guidance for problem resolution.
• Audits processes and activities per documented procedures.
