Job summary

Prototek is seeking a Quality Inspector II to support our manufacturing operations by performing in-process, final, and first article inspections on precision components. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, interpret complex drawings, and help drive quality standards throughout production.

The position requires interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and using CMMs and precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to customer specifications and AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in aerospace, medical devices, or related fields.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with CMMs and precision measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001/ISO13485 standards.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured parts.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and customer certification requirements.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, and other inspection equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Support AS9100, ISO9001, and quality system requirements.
• Mentor and train less experienced inspectors.
• Partner with production teams to resolve quality concerns.

Prototek is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II to support our manufacturing operations by performing in-process, final, and first article inspections on precision components. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured parts
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and customer certification requirements
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, and other inspection equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
• Verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards
• Support AS9100, ISO9001, and quality system requirements
• Mentor and train less experienced inspectors
• Partner with production teams to resolve quality concerns

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Manufacturing, machine shop, aerospace, medical device, sheet metal, or additive manufacturing experience
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with CMMs and precision measurement equipment
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, or ISO13485 quality systems
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
