Job summary

Thyssenkrup is seeking a quality inspector in Georgia to perform visual and dimensional inspection of materials and finished goods on a weekend shift. You will segregate non-conforming items, review test reports, and perform 8D root cause analysis as part of the QA process.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and proficiency with measurement tools, with ISO 9001/AS9100 familiarity a plus. The role requires attention to detail and accuracy, plus ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials and finished products visually and dimensionally using gauges and tools.
• Segregate non-conforming product or material per instructions.
• Review MRPs, Certificates of Compliance, and test results against specs.
• Conduct 8D root cause analysis for non-conformances.
• Perform internal audits and maintain calibration lists.
• Document work and enter data into databases; reconcile shipments as needed.

Key Accountabilities:Accurately inspect Raw Materials and Finished Products visually and dimensionally with gauges, scales, calipers, rulers, protractors, squares and other measuring instruments in accordance with Work Instructions and specifications.Segregate Non-Conforming product or MaterialReview of Material Test Reports, Certificates of Compliance, Lab Test Results against specifications and requirementsPerform Root Causes and Corrective Action Analysis of non-conformance products and process utilizing 8D methodologyPerform Internal AuditsMaintain Calibration and Verification list and records for measuring toolsComplete required documentation for work performedPerform data entry of work results into appropriate databasesReconcile outgoing shipments, as requiredQualifications:Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and write English, proficient in technical communication, and performance of basic math problems.Ability to read and interpret Engineering DrawingsAbility to lift to 40 poundsProficient and correct use of measuring instruments for inspection of products (combination square, tape measure, scales, gauges, calipers, protractors etc.)Basic computer knowledge to complete data entryAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to accurately inspect basic material, commodities, processes, understand GD & T drawingsPreferred requirements:College courses or certificates in Quality Assurance-related field of study2 years' experience using basic measurement instruments2 years' experience in a Quality Assurance Inspection positionQuality Management System experience (example ISO9001, AS9100)Lean 6S experienceShift: Weekend Shift | Friday-Sunday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PMCompensation: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit for the role.
