Qualifications

  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Operate inspection equipment such as CMM, Micro Height, ID/OD micrometers, calipers, UT Machine, and Magnetic particle yokes.
  • Read blueprints, SOPs, and customer/regulatory documents and inspect parts accordingly.
  • Perform machine set up verification and first article inspections.
  • Initiate non-conformance reports and other quality records as required.
  • Initiate corrective action when recurring quality issues occur.
  • Meet 2 NDE requirements and be certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, PT.
  • Perform duties of lower level inspections and assist in training junior staff.
  • Maintain daily and regular cleaning of the workspace.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures; notify managers of issues.
  • Follow daily procedures and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts per blueprints, SOPs, and customer requirements.
  • Set up and verify machine readiness for inspections.
  • Document non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain tool/calibration readiness and cleanliness of work area.
  • Provide training and guidance to lower level inspectors.

Job description

  • Initiate corrective action request when conditions adverse to part quality are repetitive in nature.
  • Ability to meet 2 NDE requirements and as a company certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
  • Ability to perform all job duties of lower level inspections.
  • Assist in training of lower level employees.
  • Perform daily and regular cleaning in work area.
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of Managers, Supervisors, and Group Leaders.
  • Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
