Job summary

ETFH is seeking a quality inspector in Houston to read blueprints and SOPs, perform first article inspections, and verify setups on inspection equipment.

Candidates must have NDE Level II qualifications for UT/MT/PT, maintain quality records, initiate NCRs, and follow OSHA safety procedures. Training of junior staff and maintaining a clean work area are also expected.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, SOPs, and customer/regulatory requirements and inspect parts to these documents.
• Initiate non-conformance reports and any quality records required by ETFH, customers, and third-party agencies.
• Initiate corrective action requests when conditions adverse to part quality are repetitive.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and bring problems to the attention of Managers, Supervisors, and Group Leaders.
• Meet 2 NDE requirements and be certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
• Assist in training of lower level employees.
• Perform daily cleaning in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and SOPs to inspect parts per documented requirements.
• Perform first article inspections and setup verifications on inspection equipment.
• Maintain and file non-conformance reports and quality records.
• Assist in training of junior inspectors and uphold training standards.
• Keep work area clean and follow site safety procedures.

Job description

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ability to operate all inspection equipment such as but not limited to the following: CMM, Micro Height, ID/OD micrometers, calipers, UT Machine, and Magnetic particle yokes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, standard operating procedures, and customer/regulatory requirements and inspect parts to these documents.
• Ability to do machine set up verification and first article inspections of parts on the machines
• Initiate non-conformance reports and any other quality records required by ETFH, customers, and any third-party agency.
• Initiate corrective action request when conditions adverse to part quality are repetitive in nature.
• Ability to meet 2 NDE requirements and as a company certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
• Ability to perform all job duties of lower level inspections.
• Assist in training of lower level employees.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning in work area.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of Managers, Supervisors, and Group Leaders.
• Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
