Join to apply for the Quality Inspector II role at Accurus Aerospace Kent, LLC.

Day Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Inspectors are key personnel in the Accurus Quality Department, responsible for performing inspections on received goods, work-in-process, and final inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and work instructions. They document approvals and non-conforming parts and may assist in internal problem-solving and training.

Essential Functions

1. Determine and utilize appropriate inspection methods and instruments (micrometers, height gauges, air gauges, radius gauges, calipers, CMM, etc.) for in-process and final inspections.
2. Initiate nonconformance records and manage disposition of non-compliant parts.
3. Complete First Article Inspections per AS9102 and contractual requirements, providing first article approvals for machined, sheet metal, and assembled parts.
4. Monitor manufacturing operations according to control plans.
5. Recommend and support process improvements to enhance inspection effectiveness and efficiency.
6. Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel to troubleshoot, address errors, and resolve issues related to non-conforming parts and re-inspections.
7. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; associate degree or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in QA inspection of machined parts and/or assemblies; aerospace experience preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and quality standards.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and geometric tolerances.
• Understanding of nonconforming products.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• CMM experience, Excel, and ERP system familiarity are a plus.

Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, and perform physical activities with or without accommodations.
