Responsibilities

• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducts visual and physical tests; communicates required adjustments, issues, or trends.
• Approves finished goods by confirming specifications; conducts visual and physical tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
• During the inspection process, the Inspector may engage in preassembly-preparatory work such as cleaning the housing, removing excess adhesives, degreasing nuts and screws, and greasing O-rings and seal rings.
• Visually inspect the holographic image, glass components and housing for surface quality and integrity.
• Physically inspect holographic image, glass components and housing to ensure components meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database.
