Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Quality Inspector I to join our Colonial Heights, VA facility. This hands-on role inspects cases and parts, mentors teammates, and supports quality testing to ensure adherence to customer specs.

You'll interact with Purchasing, Final Assembly, Engineering and Inside Sales to resolve issues, perform audits, and maintain a safe, organized work area. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ASQ Certification(s) beneficial; Electronics and Mechanical systems a plus.
• 6 Months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications a plus.
• Use of measurement equipment a must (Calipers, Protractors, Micrometers).
• AS400 experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cases and parts for conformance to prints and specs.
• Mentor and train others on quality procedures.
• Load/product testing and data collection for quality metrics.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Final Assembly and Engineering on issues.
• Audit case lineups and participate in downtime reductions.
