Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure rolled, machined, and fabricated products meet engineering and quality requirements. You will perform dimensional, visual, and non-destructive inspections using manual tools and advanced technologies on a manufacturing floor.

You will record results, support first article inspections, and help maintain compliance with quality plans while collaborating with production and quality teams on timely product movement and process

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years related experience.
• Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience in machining/manufacturing environment desired.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints incl. tolerances and symbols.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, physical and visual inspection of products.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges to dimensionally inspect products.
• Program and operate CMMs and other automated inspection equipment (training provided).
• Conduct ultrasonic or dye penetrant inspections and report results.
• Record inspection results and maintain required documentation.
• Perform first article inspections before full-scale manufacturing.
• Meet production schedules by timely inspections and movement to next work center.
• Document quality data and support quality department reporting.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental standards.
