Job summary

Pelican Products, Inc. seeks a Quality Inspector I in Torrance, CA. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and components to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications, and support quality assurance across production.

Under supervision, you’ll develop foundational inspection skills and progress toward independent responsibilities, while maintaining audit-ready records and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical inspection in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect precision components and subassemblies for conformance to drawings and standards.
• Use measuring tools to verify product conformance.
• Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.
• Ensure measuring equipment calibration status is current.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to support quality and compliance.
• Maintain audit-ready records and clean work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Identify nonconforming materials or products and report them.
