Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to monitor in-process production by performing visual, dimensional and functional inspections. The role includes recording data, using calipers and micrometers, and ensuring adherence to control plans.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years in QC, familiarity with SPC/ISO 9001 & 13485, and proficiency with Word/Excel. This is a hands-on on-site position in Wisconsin with a strong emphasis on defect detection and process reliability.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Quality Control experience
• Experience in Plastic Injection Molding environment preferred
• Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers)
• Knowledge of SPC and ISO 9001 & 13485 requirements
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Proficient with Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections per control plan
• Record statistical data using computer systems
• Manage day-to-day measurements and gaging in QA lab
• Identify defects on molded/assembled parts and flag non-conformances
• Maintain clean, organized quality areas and equipment
• Read and follow control plans; adhere to attendance and professionalism standards
