Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a quality technician to collaborate with engineering and production to ensure conformance to specifications. You will approve first articles after machine setup, test finished products, and re-work as needed. This role identifies non-conforming parts and documents containment measures.

You will work with a Quality Manager and perform inspections using a range of gauges, maintaining an orderly QC area per 5S standards, and communicate effectively across the organization.

Qualifications

• US citizen required due to ITAR regulations.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance.
• Familiarity with metrology equipment and inspection methods.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion.
• Must stand, walk, sit, and bend for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article and in-process inspections.
• Maintain QC area using 5S standards.
• Communicate professionally with all levels of the organization.
• Decide scrap quantities of 10 parts or less.
• Identify and document non-conforming parts and assemblies.
