Job summary

GOJO Industries, LLC (Clorox Purell) in Wooster, OH, is seeking a Quality Inspector I for 3rd shift. This 100% onsite role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operating CMM/VMM and other measurement tools to ensure component quality.

Travel between campus locations in Northeast Ohio may be required. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, experience with measuring equipment and understanding ISO 9000 quality systems; experience with plastic injection molding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects components from molding machines and measures conformance.

• Saves samples of non-conforming components for analyses.
• Complies with quality procedures and logs data; relays information across shifts.
• Operates CMM, VMM, caliper, GO/NOGO gauges, Magna-Mike; analyzes data.
• Follows hold tag process for non-conforming components.
• Communicates non-conforming findings to Production and Process Technicians.
• Performs troubleshooting to resolve automation issues.

Work Location: USA Wooster Campus - GPM

Shift: Shift 3 Wooster 10:45 pm- 6:45 am

Role Type: 100% Onsite. Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Role Objective

Performs quality inspections of components, per quality standards. Communicates quality issues to quality team, Process Technicians and others. Quarantines questionable parts. Operates measurement equipment “CMM/VMM”, understands and communicates measurement results.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Collects all components from molding machines as required, measures, assesses, and analyzes components for conformance.
• Follows first off and last off process, fills out required tags and save samples.
• Saves samples of non-conforming components for analyses and possible tool repair in mold room.
• Complies with all quality procedures and inspection processes, logs all required information, relays information to quality team members on other shifts.
• Operates all required equipment (e.g. CMM, VMM, caliper, GO/NOGO gauges, Magna-Mike) and analyzes measurement data.
• Follows hold tag process when any components and/or completed pumps are non-conforming and/or in question.
• Communicates with Production and Process Technicians if non-conforming components are identified.
• Performs trouble shooting as required to solve automation issues on off-shifts.
• Performs measurements on ETR components, logs and communicates issues identified.

General

• Interacts with production team, guides material handlers in containing non-conforming components
• Interacts with Process Technicians, communicates non-conforming issues identified.

Education and Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required
• Operation of measuring equipment
• Inspection experience
• Exposure to ISO 9000 or other quality system
• Experience with plastic injection molding

Compensation & Benefits

The starting pay rate for this role is 21.02 per hour. In addition to base pay, all GOJO team members are bonus eligible. 401(k) match, parental leave, and onsite well-being care.
