JOB SUMMARY:
Performs routine inspection andtesting of product in process and/or finished products using precisionmeasuring tools and equipment. Organizes and prioritizes departmental work flowto ensure effective use of departmental resources.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by Manager.
Perform Receiving Inspectionsof product and tooling Including:
Plating Thickness
Dimensional Inspection
Visual Inspection
Mechanical Breakload/Testing
Prepare jobs for FinalInspection (Blinds & Solids):
Generating Final Inspection Report / Worksheet
Pulling required samples as required per procedures/work instructions.
Support Floor Inspectionactivities including First Article/Setup verification and in-process/SPC asassigned by management.
Operate Keyence usingpre-programmed inspection templates.
Records the results of tests oninspection forms and test reports as required.
Assures that inspectionequipment is calibrated and in good working condition.
Effectively understands the SPC data collectionsystem along with other measuring tools and gauges required to ensure that themanufacturing processes are in control in producing high quality products.
Meets productivity levels insupport of departmental standards, goals and schedules.
Performs good housekeeping andfollows safety regulations.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such assafety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and proceduremanuals. Ability to write routineinspection reports.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add,subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals.
Understand basicshop math.
Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagramform. Ability to perform complex dutieswhere a high level of independent judgment and action is required.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to readand interpret drawings/blueprints, specifications, procedures and workinstructions.
Understand BasicGD&T (reference ASME Y14.5)
Other Qualifications:
Skilled in the set up and use of precision measuringinstruments, such as micrometers, calipers, protrusion gauges, opticalcomparators, tri-roll gauges, etc.
Proven ability to perform mechanical and physicaltesting on product, such as conductivity testing, drivability testing, sheartesting, tensile testing, etc.
Ability to read and understanda manufacturing work order sequence of operations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High schooldiploma or general education degree (GED), Certificate related to inspection ormechanical testing from technical school completed or in progress, 0-2 years experience in aerospacemanufacturing/inspection. Aerospace fasteners preferred.
