Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Quality Inspector I to join Abiomed located in Danvers, MA.

Job Summary

The Quality Inspector I will perform basic inspections and sorting of incoming materials, parts/components. Provide support as needed to the Operations group.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of purchased parts according to well-defined criteria using standard visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection on large lots size under a microscope.
  • Accurately document the results of inspections and testing.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform data entry into associated data systems.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • 1 year or less in a manufacturing environment - Medical device experience a plus.
  • Ability to use inspection gages and microscopes.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs and inspection procedures.
  • Basic knowledge in math.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner under general supervision.
  • Computer literacy required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge in ISO and GMP. US FDA 21 CFR QSR and ISO 13485 a plus.
