Join our team at Collins Aerospace Onsite in Fairfield, CA, where we're seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to maintain precision and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you'll conduct visual and dimensional inspections of energetic parts, materials, and assemblies, ensuring compliance with blueprint specifications, regulatory guidelines, and contractual obligations. Using a variety of measuring instruments, including specialized gauges, you'll assess each component thoroughly. Additionally, you'll maintain inspection records, logs, and conduct rejection report reviews as part of our final inspection process.

Schedule:

  • This position is for 1st shift.
  • Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Overtime is available and/or mandatory on a business need basis.

What You Will Do

  • Utilizes various measuring instruments and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to perform in-process/final inspection and document acceptable/noncompliant conditions per the Quality
  • Perform a variety of manual/administrative tasks to include the use of computer systems associated with quality inspection of aerospace components.
  • Interpret and use a variety of quality policies, procedures, and other documentation (e.g., engineering prints, engineering changes, inspection checklists, and process instructions).
  • Present products to our customers and government representatives after verification of all documentation.
  • Proficient in units of measure for length, weight, and volume.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. GED in the US), OR vocational/technical education in related discipline.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Two years of practical experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
  • Experience in the use of precision measurement tools.
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills, including the ability to use other computer programs.

  • The salary range for this role is $35,537 to $66,651 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
